As we head into our eighth show, we are excited to have a featured banner ad be placed on the homepage of LATalkRadio.com.

This week's guests are Denver Filmmakers Jamin and Kiowa Winans who will be discussing their latest feature film, INK.

INK is an extraordinary feature film that Karen and I had the pleasure of seeing up at the Santa Barbara Film Festival a few months back. Now the film is on the cusp of coming to Los Angeles' to the legendary Egyptian Theater on Wednesday June 10th. We have already bought our tickets and cannot wait to see the film again.

I have a feeling that this show is going to rival Gary King's for the top spot amongst our listeners. Karen and I have also just registered for Mark Stolaroff's No Budget Filmmaking Immersion which is taking place this Saturday and Sunday (May 30th and 31st). We will be attending Saturday's seminar. We hope to report back to you here on this blog early next week about our experience. We may also include a brief summary on Sunday's show.

This first show was a lot of fun. There was so much more I wanted to cover with Daniel and Theo. In this case 50 minutes wasn't enough time. Will very likely bring them back on when it is closer to the festival which is in August.

Meanwhile I am busy lining up future guests. This upcoming week, Karen and I will be joined by Actor/Producer Paul J. Alessi. I am also back and forth with a lot of active and talented filmmakers who are interested in talking about their craft and projects with us.

I am also trying to get the show up on iTunes. That is an essential part of building our audience. I hope to have that figured out as soon as possible.

The Film Courage Radio Show Blog Begins...

Karen and I began our 'Film Courage' adventure on LA Talk Radio 7 weeks ago. The show is quickly taking on a life of it's own. So much so, that we feel it is best to begin documenting our experiences. I am going to set up the skeleton of this new blog and add some content to beef it all up. From there, Karen will very likely update this site most often, though I am hoping to chime in as often as I can.

We want to take you a little further inside our world as we build our show into the premiere place for independent filmmakers to turn. Where they share their experiences and their work. Our goal is to learn every time we do a show, and we hope at the same time, you are there learning with us.

Though our show is just beginning, on this 26th of May we are practically all the way booked through August. Our upcoming guests include Denver Filmmakers Jamin and Kiowa Winans, Filmmaker Elana Krausz, Actor Johnny 'Roastbeef' Williams, Actor/Producer Jeff Grace, Filmmakers from the Sundance Award Winning film 'The Cove,' and Independent Spirit Award Winning Filmmaker Lynn Shelton.

We hope to have many stories to share that happen when we are not on the air. Already we have been attended two private screenings. The first one was for Lynn Shelton's Humpday which will be theatrically released in July. It was a fun time for Karen and I. We were put on the media list. The building located near Beverly Hills looked like an ordinary office building. Inside on the ground level, it had a small cozy plush theater where it could comfortably seat at least 30 people. Karen and I loved it because it was so spread out. We could sit, stretch out and enjoy the film. All together there were about 10 of us connected to various media outlets who sat and watched the film at this private venue.

We may be back there soon to watch The Cove. Then last night, Karen and I were invited to a private screening to the short film, In the Land of Opportunity by Cinematographer and Producer Taylor Wigton. The screening was held at Universal Studios and actually turned into a standing room only situation. At least 30 people stood and watched the film. Good thing the film was only 30 minutes.

Hope you enjoy hearing a little more of what is happening behind the scenes. That is going to be one of the goals of this blog, along with providing you updates and news.
